The Moving Wall

The 253-foot Moving Wall is made from black aluminum panels.

A half-size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial (in Washington, DC) tours the country from April to November.

In early September 2010 it was at the East Lawn Sierra Hills Memorial Park in Sacramento, CA. An Opening Ceremony was held on Thursday, 2 Sept, a Reading Ceremony on Saturday, 4 Sept and a Closing Ceremony on Monday 6 Sept. Active in the ceremonies were the Marine Corps League, California State Honor Guard, AMVETS Band, VFW Honor Guard, Marine Cadets, California National Guard, Scottish-American Military Society and the Vietnam Veterans of America, Sacramento Valley Chapter 500.

Many individual veterans took part by leading the singing of the national anthem, pledge of allegiance, bagpipes, master of ceremonies, invocations and acknowledgment of Gold Star Mothers by LTC Pete Conaty, USA (Ret).
